Where we work

Our focus area is China with a particular emphasis on Guangdong and Sichuan provinces. The work of Embrace is not about welfare (supplying food, clothing and other items of necessity). Rather, it's all about development (investing today for a better tomorrow). We are committed to sustainability and this involves providing a hand up, not a handout! The old adage about 'teaching a person to fish' is certainly a better long term philosophy than the easier task of simply giving a person a fish.

For Embrace, all of the above is about solid and clear partnership with a multiple of different groups. We see ourselves as a conduit that exists to bring together relevant groups, companies and individuals that will see best practice and economical solutions put in place-promptly and professionally. We experience a real sense of accomplishment when we see marginalised and impoverished people transformed from their limiting circumstances so they can flourish as competent and contributing citizens.
